Web App: Science Research

My latest Web App  "Science Research" (developed by me - Ingo Schendel) is a research tool to find scientific articles and academic journals with Open_access to the readers. It uses the OpenUI5 JavaScript framework to research and display data records of the "Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)".

As the DOAJ sometimes contains outdated or broken links to journals or articles my app provides a Google Search to find articles and journals with their digital identifiers ("doi" for articles and "pissn" or "eissn" for journals).

The whole UI of the app is developed with OpenUI5 - the open source variant of the Award winning user interface SAP UI5. The backend is written in PHP and provides JSON based web Services that are consumed by the UI frontend. The backend itself calls the API provided by the DOAJ.

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is the most notable source for meta-Information about Open Access Journals and Articles.

In the future I plan to integrate more sources to the Web App and to build Scientific Apparatus about special topics. A persistence layer for your own apparatus is planned, too.
